Dionne Jeffs has successfully completed her Level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship and now is progressing onto a Level 3 apprenticeship. Read more to find out about how Dionne found her apprenticeship with LifeSkills.

Why did you choose to complete an apprenticeship?

I was studying at sixth form and as the year went on I realised it wasn’t for me. I had been researching about apprenticeships and came across LifeSkills. Apprenticeships gave me the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification whilst receiving a wage at the same time.

How did you find completing your apprenticeship?

When completing my apprenticeship, I attended several classroom sessions at the LifeSkills centre. These sessions allowed me to learn in depth about Business Administration and enabled me to use what I had learnt in my job role.

Did you receive support throughout your apprenticeship?

Yes! Every apprentice receives their own dedicated Learning Advisor. Your Learning Advisor comes out to your place of work and talks you through every step of the apprenticeship. Learning Advisors are there to answer any of your questions and are available to contact whenever you need them. They’re a great support.

How has completing an apprenticeship helped you improve your knowledge?

Completing an apprenticeship in the Business Administration sector has me a more professional outlook in business. The apprenticeship is interesting and gives you in-depth knowledge of the sector.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

I have now been given the opportunity to start my Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration. Completing the Level 3 apprenticeship will open up many doors for me for example being a Team Leader. I can’t recommend completing an apprenticeship enough. Apprenticeships allow you to open new and exciting doors which may not be able to be opened by completing a degree at University.
