Looking for a training Course?
It’s an ever changing Covid-19 landscape and all the LifeSkills centres are open and ready to welcome learners into centres during August. All the centres are following government guidance and advice on how to keep you safe. Be assured that we will be keeping in touch with learners to enable them to be prepare for their course and answer any questions they might have.
Can I apply to start a course in August?
Yes you can! If you’re interested in studying with us from August, you can apply directly to your local LifeSkills or Progressions centre here and our Information and Guidance Team will guide you through your options.
You can also apply for one of our courses by visiting the August start page on our website; complete the form and we will be in touch with you to start the conversation to help you create your brighter future.
I’ve applied what happens next?
If we have not contacted already, we will be in touch to arrange for an initial interview, subject to entry requirements, confirm your place and invite you into the centre for an induction,
Wherever possible face-to-face interviews will be completed by telephone or by Zoom. One of our Information and Guidance Team will contact you to discuss your application and give you the information you need about the course and what happens next. Our team are specialists in their field and will guide you through all the course options and of course, answer any questions you might have and get you signed up for the right course for you.
I have had my interview, what happens next?
Once you have had your interview and accepted your place, we will of course keep in touch and arrange with you when you will come in for an induction. We are following government guidelines, so inductions are either one-to -one or a small group basis to help maintain social distancing guidelines.
For your induction, you will be asked to bring some I.D. with you in the form of your birth certificate, passport, driving licence along with your National Insurance Number and any qualification certificates you may have. Don’t worry if you haven’t received your results yet. As part of the process, you will also carry out some initial assessments to help find the best course and level for you to start on.
When will I start college?
All learners will start with us throughout August and you will be able to attend a LifeSkills centre on as normal as possible timetable. If any of these plans change because of Covid-19or government guidance, we will let you know.
LifeSkills and Progressions are looking forward to welcoming you very soon and let’s create a brighter future for you.
