Unsure what to suggest for their next career move?
As a parent or carer of a 16-18 year old, are you a little unsure what to suggest to them to help them take their next step along their journey. What course to take to help them get a job or what course to take to help them get onto an apprenticeship?
This dilemma is the most common issue we come across as we speak with parents and carers. It is really difficult to offer advice without sounding ‘pushy’ and sometimes it is better to let someone else layout the options – at least to start with!
In our most recent Ofsted inspection LifeSkills were viewed as giving ‘outstanding’ care and support, advice and guidance to learners. Our experienced teams offer advice to help a young person map out and start their next career move.
LifeSkills is no ordinary training provider, we take incredible pride in our learners and only want the best for them. Our courses not only help develop real work and employability skills but also improve maths and English skills to help them create their own brighter future.
Some key results from last year’s learner survey:
- 82% of learners went on to a job, apprenticeship or further / higher education programme.
- 87% of learners achieved a qualification.
- 94% of learners surveyed would recommend LifeSkills to their friends.
- 93% of learners surveyed were happy with the support LifeSkills provides.
- 92% of learners believe their views are listened too.
Please get in touch if you would like to have a conversation about work based training opportunities for your son or daughter. Lifeskills offers a wide range of opportunities for young people and it would be great to answer any questions you might have.
