New update for face covering use within centres

From 17th May and in line with Step 3 of the ‘Governments Roadmap’, face coverings will no longer be recommended for learners in classrooms or communal areas. Face coverings will also no longer be recommended for staff in classrooms.

It is recommended that face coverings should be worn by staff and visitors in situations outside of classrooms where social distancing is not possible (for example, when moving around in corridors and communal areas).

Centres can have the discretion to recommend the use of face coverings by learners and staff, if it is appropriate for their particular circumstances e.g. where training is reflective of a workplace environment such as, a training beauty salon.

If you have any questions, your Centre Manager or tutor will be happy to answer any queries you might have.
