There are different kinds of apprenticeships. Some are for 16 - 24 year olds who are working, and others for 16 - 18 year olds who aren't working and not at school or college. See below for more about the one that suits you.

16 - 24 and employed

With this apprenticeship, you can work and learn at the same time. So while you're earning a wage, you can do the training that can help you get the qualifications to earn an even better one.

It'll take somewhere between 6 months and 2 years to complete - depending on the one you do and the pace you want to go at

What's in it for you?

All your training happens at work - so you won't have any extra travel and you won't miss out on any wages. You'll work towards an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, but also get key skills certificates in application of number and communication and a Technical Certificate too. Phew - that's a lot of qualifications!

16 - 18 and unemployed

These apprenticeships allow you to gain qualifications AND get employment in a real business. You'll spend some time training with us as well as some time in the workplace. (The length will depend on the course you choose.)

What's in it for you?

If you're out of work and being stuck at college all the time isn't for you, this is a great way for you to secure employment. And a lot of apprentices end up getting offered a job in the place they train. You could also get a Travel Pass while you're training and earn up to £100 a week.

If you think an apprenticeship could be right for you, then get in touch.

“In a very short time we've built a great rapport with Lifeskills. Every member of the team finds them approachable and friendly, yet professional. It's great knowing that staff can raise questions on a one-on-one basis or in the group sessions they've set up.”
