Unemployed and not at School or in Further Education

An Apprenticeship allows you Learn a Living by working, learning and gaining skills and qualifications in a real business.

How does it work?

An Apprenticeship is a framework of qualifications at level 2 (intermediate) or level 3 (Advanced It), includes a combined vocational qualification as well as Functional skills in Maths, English and ICT where required. It will take you 12 months to complete the full framework and in most cases all of the work is carried in in your workplace.

What's in it for you?

Whether you are already employed or unemployed you can gain skills and qualifications that will increase your chance of getting and keeping a job, or even helping you to move up the ladder in your chosen career.

If you think an Apprenticehip could be right for you, or If you are in year 11 this is a different option to staying on at School in year 12. Contact us to find out more.

Our Traineeships are designed to give you the best opportunity to progress onto an Apprenticeship.

A Traineeship provides valuable 'on the job' work experience as well classroon based activities, at a LifeSkills training centre, to provide the opportunity to develop your skills in Maths, English, ICT and Employability. Work placements are available with a wide range of employers in different types of organisations and will provide invaluable experience in the workplace.

What's in it for you?

By the end of the Traineeship programme, you will receive support to apply for a full Apprenticeship programme (this may be with a different employer to the one you completed your Traineeship with).

“In a very short time we've built a great rapport with LifeSkills. Every member of the team finds them approachable and friendly, yet professional. It's great knowing that staff can raise questions on a one-on-one basis or in the group sessions they've set up.”
